SINCLAIR & CO.'S EMILY ALMASY NAMED TO LEADERSHIP RALEIGH ALUMNI BOARD
May 24, 2007

RALEIGH – Emily Almasy, manager of account services at Sinclair & Co., has been named to the Leadership Raleigh Alumni Association’s board of directors.

Her appointment takes effect Oct. 1. She will represent the Leadership Raleigh 22 class in an at-large position.

Members of the association are graduates of Leadership Raleigh, a program sponsored by the Greater Raleigh Chamber of Commerce. During the annual, nine-month-long training program, participants meet with state and local business, government and civic leaders to better understand issues affecting the community.

The 200-plus-member alumni association provides the community with a recognized source of leadership talent and helps members act upon their shared commitment to serve it.

Almasy, who joined Sinclair & Co. in 1998, oversees management of the agency’s accounts and works with clients to determine strategic direction and develop effective marketing communication plans. Clients rely on her expertise in advertising planning, direct marketing strategy, sales promotion and market research.

Outside the agency, Almasy has served as an adjunct professor at Meredith College, teaching senior-level advertising and sales promotion. The mother of twin girls, she is an active member and past president of the Triangle Mothers of Twins and Triplets club.

Almasy received her master’s degree in business administration from Meredith College in 1999. She also holds a bachelor’s of science degree in media advertising from Appalachian State University.

Founded by Karen Sinclair in 1988, Sinclair & Co. helps businesses identify branding and marketing strategies; develop Web, print, broadcast and direct media campaigns; execute community and public relations efforts, including special events; and build stronger customer and employee relationships through successful external and internal communications.
